So I get that Katy is busy with school and all, and I get that almost no one gets on here anymore. I also get that sometimes you just aren't inspired to write stories, so you don't for a long time, and then after a while they just never get finished (what do you think happens to everything I start writing, oh that's right they just sit on my computer where no one can find them, because they never get finished!).
But I also feel like if you post part of a story on your blog for the world to read and fall in love in with the characters that you should not just leave said loved characters in terrible circumstances never to be saved. All fictional characters deserve an end, whether good, bad, or just down right terrible. And all readers that are in love in with said fictional characters deserve to get to read said ending, whether it be good, bad or just down right terrible. I also feel that "Her torch revealed a long, straight tunnel on the other side." is not an ending, if it was it'd be worse then down right terrible. I mean, what's on the other side of the tunnel? Do the people that they're trying to escape from find the tunnel and follow them?
So anyways all this to say that I understand that a couple months ago Katy said she was in a rut with writing the Travelers, but I also feel that after almost two years it's time the Travelers returned and got an ending. I alsooooo happen to know that someone is on break till the end of January and surely that's enough time get out of a rut and at least start towards an ending. 
In the mean time……. to help you get past writers block to help you get out of your rut to help you write more, to help be sure your fans don't get mad and stop talking to you, and to be sure that Taylor, Frank, Falcon, Rita, and Thoren and get the ending they deserve here's a video all about how to get over writers block! ;)

P.S. What I really want for Christmas is for you to bring back the Travelers. I know you can't really wrap that up with a bow on top, but all the same…if you did finish it you could, cause you could print it off and then wrap it up with a bow on top. Also I realize that you probably won't be able to finish it by the end of break but even just a short part 16 would be am amazing! Also in case you forget what happened last, here's a hint. ;)

Anyway this has been a lively year on this blog, what with all SIX posts. That's one every other month! Except not really cause most of them were in January, and the year I guess still has like a month and half left... Oh and this is the seventh post of the year so anyway this is going nowhere.
Well anyway... It's the day before Thanksgiving, sooooo HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)
Anyone want to take a wild guess at what made me decide to post on here? DING DING DING! you guessed it! I was bored! It's the night before Thanksgiving remember? So none of the holiday fun has started but all the pre-holiday work is done. :)
Anyway so if you all are looking for some great new music, I would just like to suggest the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. Seriously, even if you don't like the movie the music is really good! Both the score and the other stuff. The score is composed by James Newton Howard who I have never heard of before but he did a really good job! So if you like the scores from movies I defiantly go give it a listen and then the other music has some great songs on it too, Coldplay has a song on it called Atlas which is really cool, most the other people I've never really heard and to my knowledge haven't really heard any of there other stuff but I like their songs on the soundtrack! :) Plus if you are looking for a movie to go see Catching Fire was amazing!!! I plan to go see again if I can! Just be warned it is kinda sad, and I was supposedly crying for like half the movie (I don't think it was that much of the movie but w/e) but a movie that can make me cry that much must be good! And actually it's not really THAT sad.  However if you want a happy make you feel good movie I'd probably pick a different movie go see. Oh and for all you LOTR fans, there was a preview for the Hobbit before Catching Fire when I went which was pretty awesome so you could always go just to see that. ;)

Hello all,
Boy I feel so strange writing on here. It's been forever. Well, not really forever, but a long time ago. It was on March 20th, and happened to be a post about popcorn that Preciosa and I wrote together.
I haven't been posting because my life is very insane. In the spring, I was finishing up my second semester at college and deciding on a major.
I am now a sophomore and am double-majoring in English and Women's Studies, both of which are a lot of reading and writing but I am very much enjoying it (all in all).
This semester I am getting to do some math, which I haven't done since my last year of homeschooling (geometry). I am doing problem solving, which is a type of math I hadn't really done yet. I need three Q (quantitative courses) to graduate and this will fulfill one of those.
However, this is not as interesting as how I spent my summer!
First, I got a job. I am not working at the moment because of school but over the summer I worked at an ice cream place at my school, which was a good experience and I mostly enjoyed working with the public. Sometimes they could be very frustrating or strange, however, and then I would come home and have all sorts of customer stories.
Secondly, Preciosa came to visit me!! I haven't been good about posting about that (but it was so much fun!!) but she has been, so head on over to Really Kool Posts. We went to a lot of places around the area in which I live, and hung out, and had such a great time!!!
Third, I went to Peru again with my mom. Again, I haven't been great about posting about that, but that was because when I wasn't doing any fun summery things I was working a lot. Anyway, Peru was a good experience again.
Now I had better go study. Studying never ends!!

popcorn

That's right people! It's time to get down to busyness! We are talking about POPCORN today! ;) Why? because it's a very...important and...tasty food! Without popcorn movies would be less popcorny! and then what would the people who work at theaters have to clean up after all of us sloby movie goers? GASP! not peanuts! And then what would all those poor people that are allergic to peanuts eat? Surly we can not deprive them of that buttery goodness now!!
Okay but no really, popcorn is really just an amazing food! It starts out these hard kernel things and then you heat it up and this fluffy white yumminess come BURSTING out and it's like a butterfly coming out of it's...shel! And then you can put butter and salt and other seasoning on it and make it even yummier! And it's soo crunchy and salty and yummy and you can put cheese powder on it and then it's REALLY YUMMY!!! And even that popcorn with carmel or w/e it is all over it is good! And to think that orthodontists don't let all those poor kids with braces eat any popcorn for TWO HOLE YEARS just breaks my little hart! Okay not really but if there are any orthodontists reading this, take it from someone that had braces it's just mean not let us eat popcorn for that long!
Anyway if you really think about it we can learn from popcorn! Just cause someone is hard and hurts like when you try eating a kernel doesn't mean they can't change, just show them a little warmth and heat them up (in a good way) and POP they can be fluffy and soft! Like kittens. But remember, just like kernels not everyone will change because there are always those kernels at the bottom of the pot that won't pop.
p.s. this is Katy and I totally agree, popcorn is awesome!!! :) try some! eat some! have some more!!

Sooooooooo I get to make the FIRST POST OF 2013 ON HERE!!! :D I actually got on here to do something else but no one has posted on here in so long that I thought, "Why not?"
Not really sure what to talking about but, first off HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had an amazing 2012! Mine was great! With probably the BIGGEST high light being when Katy and her mom came out for a visit!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

 It was an AWESOME TIME TOGETHER!!!!!!!!! :) And Rejelle got to hang out with us which made the time THAT much better!!!! :)

 Yeah we had a LOT of fun!!! :)

A lot of other stuff happened this year, like my cute little niece Amy Colleen was born! :)

And hey the world did not end like some people said it would so that was nice! :)

what's been going on and other random things...

I am sorry I hardly ever write on here anymore. On the other hand, blogs don't appear to be very popular at the moment...at least, mine doesn't! I can chalk that up to being my fault, probably. Oh well...
I am not trying to give excuses or anything but I have been very busy ever since August 27th. That was the day my world got turned upside-down and rotated and all other kinds of things. That's right: I was taken to a planet with zero gravity and purple aliens. Nope! I started college! (and...if you think my joke there was lame...well...that's your right). At ANY rate...
College has been a whirlwind of many positive and negative events...and...for now I don't really feel like saying anymore!
This year has been a year of change for me. I...

• got into college
• graduated homeschool/high school
• got to meet some of my best friends in person finally
• made friends with Twilight. (ME??? yep.)
• Seen some pretty awesome movies (that's not really a change...but w/e...)
• maybe, just maybe am on my way to making some new friends on campus.
• Got my hair cut! (with one of my best friends!!) and donated it to Locks of Love which I've wanted to do for a long time.

Finally, I apologize to those of you whose blogs I follow. I have not been good about visiting regularly, making comments, etc. I really have no good excuse and should consider being a better friend and...idk...COMMUNICATING?? :)

awesome time in the Midwest!

 Last week was so much fun and so interesting. My mom and I went to the top of the St. Louis Arch and into the depths of the Mark Twain Cave and Cameron Cave in Hannibal, MO. Best of all, I FINALLY got to meet my two awesome cuz-friends in PERSON! :

After they came and got us at the airport, our great friends took us to the St. Louis Arch, a.k.a the Gateway to the West. This is a picture of the terrific trio :) at the top of the Arch. L-R: Rene, Preciosa, me!:)

 

 Where'd all my hair go????? Good question. The day after we arrived, I had 10 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love. Preciosa is also donating, and so are her mom and sister! :) By the time my hair was all done, more than 10" had actually been cut off because after the ponytail came off my hair was layered and thinned. This is me and my mom smiling for the camera at the Mark Twain Cave!

 

Whoa! Long hair again! This is at the St. Louis airport; we had to wait a long time for our 2 suitcases and we were so excited we could help all this smiling, hugging, laughing, and posing for photos! :)

So last month I forgot that it was two years ago at some point in May that I began my blog. It wasn't called Las Tres Amigas at first though...I think it was originally called Katy's Blog. Then I decided to give it a much more interesting name and spent probably more than half an hour trying to decide what to rename my blog. I finally did decide on Las Tres Amigas, because my awesome friends, Preciosa and Rene, are co-authors! Thank you for helping make Las Tres Amigas a more interesting place, girls! :)

               You all probably remember Katy's post having fun! where she posted some pictures of how long her beautiful hair is getting...well I said that I'd try to post some of how long my hair is getting. So... here they are! :)

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs (by one of my favorite singers!) and I thought the part about it not being about the snow that may or may not fall was fitting for this snow-less Christmas. ;)

first snow

sO since Katy always posts about their first snow fall of the year...I decided to post about our first snow of the year. Out here in the Midwest we've been waiting for snow for months and all we've seen so far is a couple flurries, which don't really count as the first snow fall since they don't stick. Leading up to today it's been FREEZING cold and the weather people on tv have been talking about how we might get a little...but then we don't. and then all of sudden on a day with only a 20 percent chance of snow...I get woken up by everyone trying to be the first to tell me that we have like half an inch of snow! And it's keep snowing all day! :) Which makes me happy! :)

So anyway here are a couple pix! :)

Awesome Friends!

OK, so, I have known Rene and her sister Maria for...I'm not sure how many years...maybe about five. The three of us started out as pen-pals. Maria and I still talk now and then, on Skype an such, which is fun! Then, after about two years, Rene and I became e-mail pals!! Haha!!! For which I thank her for e-mailing me because we'd kinda stopped writing each other. THANK YOU RENE; YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!! In 2009, Rene introduced me (through the good old internet) to her cousin, Preciosa. I never properly thanked you for that either, Rene...;) Anyway, Preciosa and I got along really well too and pretty soon I had another AWESOME friend!
I feel so special to have such amazing friends and honorary cousins!!!! :) Cheers! I just like to remember how and when we all met and I thought everyone else might like to hear it too!! :)

The Liebster Blog Award

I was awarded the Liebster Blog Award (Liebster is 'sweet' or 'kind' in German) by my friend Preciosa over at Really Kool Posts, and also by my new friends Payton and Mongoo for my writing on Really Kool Posts. All I can say is, thanks for awarding this to me, all of you! I'll keep doing my best with Las Tres Amigas--it's a constant project keeping this blog alive and something people will want to read. Plus, I'll keep on posting at Really Kool Posts! :)
Unfortunately, I don't know that many people who have active blogs--most of them have already been awarded!--so I can't really award it to anyone at this time. Can't I just award it back to the people who gave it to me? Maybe not...;)

cHoCoLaTe

Chocolate Frosting! Yummm!!!! (and yes if you click this it takes you to a recipi! :D)

Yep, that's right! Chocolate, that yummy creamy stuff that just makes you melt! Okay, am I being to dramatic? lol. But really it makes me melt sometimes, in a way. SO anyway. Chocolate, well lets talk about dark Chocolate for a little. You know, that Chocolate, that's deep and dark and yummyness just melts in your mouth like sugar dissolves in water. And the best part? It's healthy, even health freaks say so! They say that creamy goodness is good for your hart, at least if you haven't had milk in the last half hour, or something like that. Yeah. See what I mean about it melting you? I'm just melting sitting here thinking about it!

Moving on. Milk Chocolate, not as good for you as Dark Chocolate, but it tastes just as amazing! And chocolate is a bean, so it's all good for you, right? The sweet, creamy, yummy stuff that also melts in your mouth. Sadly it also melts in the sun.

NOw on to White Chocolate. I actually haven't had as much of this so I can give an opinion on it, it's good yes. But then it has Chocolate in the name. But I hear that it's not actually Chocolate...

Okay moving on again.

HOT Chocolate! And I don't just mean the drink, which is it's own post, I mean when Chocolate, is baked into a cake or just melted on it's own and is so amazing that we eat it at birthdays. Yeah, that kinda of HOT. I'm not really sure what else to say about it though, because it's just to amazing.

But anyway, maybe sometime I'll get around to talking about how peanut butter is amazing with chocolate. But actually this is longer already then I thought it would be, and I haven't even gotten to Chocolate Chips! Which if you're wondering, are soo good that I don't think they should be used ONLY for baking. They're AMAZING by them selves. Or melted. MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, that's also what i mean about Chocolate making you melt! Those yummy, creamy smooth dark melted Chocolate Chips, that if they were in a bigger bowl you would almost want to jump into them! Except that then it'd be kinda gross to eat them.

Anyway, if I haven't convinced you that Chocolate is amazing yet, think about this, The Mayans would actually use the cocoa bean as MONEY! That's right, instead of gold, or silver, they choose Chocolate as their money. And so only the rich actually got to eat Chocolate, because they were the only ones that could afford it. Although sometimes the poor would eat it and then get some dirt to refill the shell with. Yeah, counterfeiting was around even back then.

Anyway. this post actually has to end, but that's probably a good thing, because that means you can get up and go get some Chocolate to eat instead of just sitting there thinking "Man! I want CHOCOLATE!"

hey Preciosa! I'm really sorry I didn't put a birthday notice up for you yesterday! But I want you to know I thought about you a lot yesterday and how it was your AWESOME 17 day!!! So Happy Birthday! :) I wanted to tell you how lucky I am to have you as a friend and a cuz!

So Katy comes home in a week (YA! anyone else excited???) and I still haven't posted on here...so I decided to make a post. I didn't know what to post about so I decided to post some pictures that I took a couple weeks ago of a grasshopper that was sitting in this flower and eating. At least I think that's what it was doing, I sat there watching it for like ten minutes which for me is very abnormal! And also I decided that it's name was Martie, George and Charles's second cousin. lol actually I don't remember what the first name I gave Martie was but anyway. The thing about George and Charles is because I have named grasshoppers before and those two were special.

Anyhow enjoy the pictures. And maybe in the next week before Katy gets home I'll actually post again!! :D But don't count on it, sorry I'm not good at posting.
