There it was. The movie listings outside the mall. At the top of one column, NARNIA 3D. This was it, wasn't it? The movie I've been waiting for since early 2008. So, was it good, you ask? Well, right here and now I'll say I liked it. It wasn't as close to the book, certainly, as I would've wanted it. There were quite a few changes.
I was a bit worried about the changes to Caspian, whom I learned would no longer have a Spanish accent, and who apparently would have a beard. I thought, Oh no! they're changing Caspian! But, even though now, looking at the Prince Caspian poster on my wall, Caspian looks older and different in Voyage, but take it from me that Caspian is still really cool in Voyage... just, you know, different.
The story line had been changed from that of the book. Reepicheep was in some ways improved in this movie, and near the end there's a closeup of beautiful Aslan's kind, gentle, kingly face, that I loved.
Edmund and Lucy, well-loved characters, were once more brought to life by Skandar Keynes and Georgie Henley.
So, I encourage any Narnia fans to watch this movie, if not in the theatre, then later. Trust me. It's worth it. For Narnia!
Aslan is once more on the move.
