Star Wars+Prince of Persia+Shrek=WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT??

There's this pretty good movie that almost no one cares about.
It's called John Carter. It's based off an Edgar Rice Burroughs story (which I have not read..but that's beside the point...), it's made by Disney of all movie companies, and it's really, like I said, a pretty good movie.

Apparently the advertising for this movie was horrible so hardly anyone went to see it in theaters. Consequently, it came out very quickly on DVD and hardly anyone cares that it is out.

My family gave it a chance. I'm glad we did. It's fun, it's exciting, it has lots of interesting and funny Martians, and it's like a combination of Star Wars, The Prince of Persia, and Shrek. Yes, it's about a Civil War era guy going to Mars, but don't hold it against John Carter. It's actually a good movie, so I would recommend watching it!

Prince of Persia fans??

Hey! So, as you all probably know by now, I'm a Prince of Persia movie fan. I don't have an interest in the video games, just the movie (with Jake Gyllenhaal, who's really cool! and I saw him in Source Code recently and he's really good in that too!!! ;)
Anyway, so, I don't know that many other people who are fans of the PoP movie. Where are you, fellow PoP fans?? If you're one, I invite you to comment on this post!! :)

Backflip Count

So, last night, my dad and my brother, Daniel, and I watched Prince of Persia (this was the 2nd time for my brother and me)....And Daniel and I counted the Dastan backflips (there are a couple or so Dastan doesn't do; we don't count those!)! Daniel and I have this big joke about the backflips in Prince of Persia...that there's tons of them and all that. Well, the main character, Prince Dastan, actually only does 6 backflips. Only 6? Yep. Still......I actually, overall, liked this movie better the second time around.......it's good. Watch it. :)

Prince of Persia

I am NOT a fan of the Prince of Persia video game. But...last month Daniel and I went to see the movie. My initial reaction when I heard about the movie and how it was made after a video game was that I thought it was stupid. But...after seeing it I can't say it's completely ridiculous. You should know that I'm not super critical of movies...every movie I've watched, I've liked, even if I didn't like it as a whole. While Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was pretty crazy, in a huge part because the main character, Dastan, does a lot of backflips, I liked it. The backflips thing of course is funny and I have to admit...a little bit cool...while being ridiculous. Prince of Persia was not light on the violence...and I really don't like it when movies have tons of violence.
But...I have to say that I liked Prince of Persia...and I bought Harry Gregson-William's score...which I might add is also good. Gotta like that main theme!!!! :)
If you like movies with princes who act like video game characters, queens who are not overly fond of those princes for most of the story, daggers that can turn back time (if you have the Sands of Time...see how much I learned? At least I think that's how it works ;), and lots of backflips...Prince of Persia is for you.
By the way, the main character in this movie is fun to joke about and make fun of even though he is cool.
