I saw The Princess Bride last night. It is extremely ridiculous, silly, and also really funny. Has anyone else ever seen it?
I had seen references to "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." but wasn't sure what exactly it referred to. I was told that it came from The Princess Bride. Then I forgot about that and didn't remember about this until right before Inigo Montoya says it. So......it is fun now knowing the story behind this quote. A little bit disappointing of course....as now I'm a little bit more knowledgeable about popular culture, and with some aspects of popular culture, it's kinda fun to sort of stay in the dark. You know what I mean?
But anyway.....if you're ever in the mood for a really ridiculous movie, you may enjoy watching The Princess Bride. I know the title's really kind of a misnomer, but still, don't let the title or the kinda sappy looking cover picture throw you off. If you want a good laugh, you should definitely watch this movie.
I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I would not call it ridiculous!!!! Funny, yes. Actually it's one of the movies that everyone in my family really likes. We quote it a lot. :D

LOL! PJ, I have to disagree, this movie IS ridiculous!! LOL! But in a good way...I think! :D LOL! It's SOOO FUNNY!!!! And corny... lol but it's classic!

ReplyDeletePrince's Bride is a great movie to watch when you're slap happy or are really tired. IT IS ridiculously funny!!!!! It also has a lot of movie quotes! :)
