Yo everyone!!
In thinking about what I should write about, I thought I'd talk a little about adopting pets from animal shelters. In the town where I live, we have an animal shelter. Last October, we adopted a kitten from them, which was our first experience adopting from an animal shelter. Our kitten, Audubon, "Bonnie", was found next to a road, nearly dead, and having problems with her eyes. The vet and people at the animal shelter, or "dog pound" thought she might end up being blind in one eye, but aside from a little spot, her eyes look completely normal now, and she can see fine. She might have a blind spot, but it doesn't affect her much.
It is one of the best things you can do to give a home to an animal who was left for dead somewhere--cold, sick, frightened. If that person who found Bonnie hadn't, and if no one had found her, she wouldn't be alive and happy today, at our house, running, sleeping...hunting...and getting tons of attention from her adoring fans...her people. :)

Bonnie is really cute!! We got our dog from some friends that found her on the side of the road and when they couldn't find her owner they asked people they knew if anyone wanted her.
